CBB DFS Picks for your March Madness Lineups | DraftKings & FanDuel 3/17

In the article below I will highlight a few of my top plays from todays slate, and analysis as to why I am targeting them for my FanDuel and DraftKings lineups.

Guards

Frankie Collins (Michigan):  DK 3.2k / FD 3.1k

DeVante Jones is not going to play today, leading to more usage for guys like Dickinson, Brooks and Frankie Collins.  Collins is going to be extremely chalky, as he is the clear favorite to grab most of the minutes vacated by Jones.  Don’t think twice about it, lock him into your lineup today at his near min price on both sites.

Baylor Scheierman (SDKST):  DK 7.6k / FD 7.5k

Scheierman is just priced too low for the upside he presents.  He has solid rates across the board, this game should have some nice tempo to it, giving him a legit shot at a triple/double.  Scheierman will be a core play for me, and I will be overweight to him in GPPs.  South Dakota State is going to knock off Providence today, and a Sheierman nuke game is going to be the big reason why that happens.

Johnny Juzang (UCLA):  DK 6.3k

I love Johnny today at his price tag.  He comes into this game with a 28% usage rate and a 29% shot rate, both lead this UCLA team.  Akron will have a hard time checking this UCLA team today, making multiple Bruins viable plays, though Johnny is my clear favorite of the bunch.  Only issue I could see in this game, is that Akron will try to slow this game down to a snails pace, as they rank 351st in the country in Tempo.  Still does not worry me enough to get off Johnny.  Play him with confidence, he wont be priced at 6.3k again this tournament.

Joe Bryant (Norfolk State):  DK 5.3k / FD 6.9k

I really do not like targeting players vs. this Baylor defense, especially players from non power 5 teams.  However, it is hard not to like Joe Bryant at 5.3k.  He leads his team with a 26% usage rate and 27% shot rate.  He is going to play massive minutes, and if Norfolk State wants to pull off the miracle upset, Bryant will need to have the game of a lifetime.  There are not many players on this slate that you can get a 50pt ceiling at this cheap of a price tag.  I expect him to carry pretty good ownership today.

Forwards

Armando Bacot (UNC):  DK 9.5k / FD 8.6k

Bacot is going to cruise to a double/double in this matchup, no doubt about that.  Bacot currently has a 25% usage rate and a massive 30% rebound rate.  Marquette has no size to combat Bacot down low, so he should get whatever he wants offensively and should be able to pick up plenty of easy baskets off some offensive rebounds and put backs.  Bacot is my top spend up on the slate, and its really not that close.  Marquette are one of the worst rebounding teams in the country and they play at a top 50 pace.  SMASH spot for Bacot!

Justin Lewis (Marquette):  DK 8.6k / FD 7.2k

This is going to be one of my favorite games to target, as both teams rank in the top 50 in the country in pace.  Lewis has the tougher matchup vs. UNC’s length.  However, Lewis has solid rates, nearly a 30% shot rate, so he will shoot the ball a ton today, and has the ability to work himself into a double/double.  I expect ownership to be pretty low on him today as most will find the salary to get up to guys like Bacot, Chet and Murray.  I love Lewis in a game stack with Bacot and Love.. and maybe Manek as well.

Enrique Freeman (Akron):  DK 6k

This is not a great matchup for Freeman or any of Akron really, however, Freeman has a 31% rebound rate good for 7th in the country.  Priced at 6k, makes him someone who is fully in play for me in all formats.  He plays tons of minutes and has also shown massive upside at times this year.

Patrick Tape (SFO):  DK 4.5k

Tape is going to be a very popular value option today due to Massalski being ruled out with an injury.  Tape should in fact draw the start in his absence.  He has double/double upside, that is if he can avoid foul trouble.  Murray State is a very tough matchup, but still easily one of the best values on the slate.
