Guards

Adrian Delph (App State) vs. Norfolk State

Delph is a shooter, and he will get up tons of shots in any game he plays in.  Over his last 5 games he has 17 FGA per game.  I believe a lot of people will flock to Forrest and Almonacy from this App team, but it is Delph that I will be overweight on tonight.  Delph has a 25% shot rate, 25% usage rate and is averaging 38 mpg.  Norfolk State is ranked 219th in Adj. Def efficiency according to kenpom rankings.  I expect Delph to have a very solid game, and at 6.4k he gets us good production from this App State team for a much lower price tag than that of Forrest or Almonacy.

Damian Chong Qui (MSM) vs. Texas Southern

It is incredible what Chong Qui has been able to do over the last 5 games.  He has played every minute of every game over his last 5, and that includes two overtime games.  I expect that he will carry that same type of workload tonight in a matchup vs. a Texas Southern team that wants to play fast.  Chong Qui has a 25% usage rate, is a solid source of offensive production and also has a 34% assist rate, which is top 50 nationally.  He really just does it all for this MSM team.  With his workload and price, he is a very solid play tonight and will be one of my core plays tonight.

Forwards

Darnell Brodie (Drake) vs. Wichita State

Wichita State are not a very good rebounding team, which is something that Brodie really excels at.  He actually has one of the top defensive rebounding rates in the country.  So this matchup is one where he should feast on the boards.  Brodie is also a guy that can add in a few blocks per game, giving him a higher ceiling than most at his price.  As bad as Wichita State is in regards to defensive rebounding, Brodie should have a solid chance to pick up some cheap points off of some offensive boards as well.

Emmanuel Akot (Boise State) vs. SMU

Boise is dealing with a very limited bench due to injuries, paving the way for guys like Akot, Doutrive and Alston to see bigger minutes and increased usage rates.  Akot has a 23% usage rate and is playing 26 mpg.  He drew the start in Boise’s last game vs. Nevada, and ended up with 15 points, 3 assist a rebound, steal and block.  He is not going to be a guy that will get you 40, but he has shown 30 DK point upside this year, and at a price below 5k, he makes a ton of sense as a value play. Doutrive is someone I have a good bit of interest in as a punt as well.
