Guards
Caleb Love (UNC) vs. Marquette
UNC has been playing pretty good basketball as of late, including an absolute dominant performance vs. Louisville. They come into this game with the 3rd highest team implied total on the slate, and a matchup vs. a Marquette team that struggle defensively. Marquette are one of the worst teams in the country in defending the perimeter, and also turn the ball over a ton. Love is capable of knocking down open looks from 3 and is also solid in creating turnovers, averaging 2 steals per game over his last 5 games. I really like targeting UNC tonight due to their low prices across the board, and their 77 team implied total.
DJ Carton (Marquette) vs. UNC
On the other side of this matchup I really like targeting one of Carton or McEwen. If you are going to attack this UNC team it is by solid guard play. Carton is my favorite of the two, and you can get him for under 6k. Carton is a solid scorer, and can knock down shots from the perimeter and from mid range. If Marquette is going to win this game, they will need big games from Carton and McEwen, because I expect UNC to shut down the Marquette interior.
Forwards
Garrison Brooks (UNC) vs. Marquette
Brooks is the only UNC big that sees consistent minutes, and has been a consistent source of production for this UNC team. I really like the confidence this UNC team is coming into this game with after their dominant performance over Louisville. You want to attack Marquette through good guard play, but Brooks is a guy that has the talent to really push this Marquette frontline. Look for Brooks to be very active on the boards, both offensively and defensively, and with his ability to step out and hit the mid range jumper, he could give the Marquette bigs fits here.
Justin Smith (ARK) vs. Alabama
Smith is coming into this game off the back of two really strong performances vs. Florida and Missouri. Look for him to keep his good play rolling here in a really strong matchup vs. Alabama. This game has the highest total on the slate, and should be a game you look to target tonight to fill out your roster. Smith has had 30+ DK points in 3 of his last 5 games. He has seen his usage rate increase over his last 5 games as well. Smith has shown a really good ability to score the ball, and is extremely active in both rebounding and creating turnovers. He has 9 steals over his last 3 games, and is averaging 1.2 steals per game over the entire season. Smith is priced near 8k tonight, so he is strong cash game target, and a decent gpp target.
