Guards
L.J. Figueroa (Oregon) vs. Seton Hall
LJ is expected to see his first action of the season tonight vs. Seton Hall after being granted his waiver by the NCAA. Last season for St. Johns Figueroa averaged 15 ppg, 5 rebounds and 2 assist per game. He is a player that can impact the game on both ends of the court. Last season for St. Johns he averaged 1.9 steals per game which was good for 36th nationally. He should be inserted directly into the starting lineup tonight and find himself in a position where he plays big minutes for this squad. He is only $4500 and is a cash core staple for me tonight.
Rocket Watts (Michigan State) vs. Detroit
Ever since the poor opening night performance, we have started to see the Rocket Watts we had expected to see all along. Watts, over the last two games, has been playing at a very high level. He has scored 36 points over the last two games and attempted 27 shots. Playing against, what was one of the worst defensive teams last season, Watts should find plenty of success even if he only gets 20-25 minutes due to a blowout. He is only priced at $5700.
Antoine Davis (Detroit) vs. Michigan State
If you want to play a player who shoots at will, Davis is your guy. He is a very skilled player and shoots a ton in this Detroit offense. He averaged 24 points per game last season. As a freshman he broke Steph Curry’s freshman 3 pt record. There is no denying the talent that Davis has, he just will find it tough to produce vs. this Michigan State team. He is priced near 8k on todays slate, making him out of range for me in cash, but is someone I will take in GPP’s. Based off his extremely high usage and his overall volume of shots, if he is able to find room to work he can put up monster numbers. Detroit will need an all-time performance from Davis if they want to keep this game somewhat competitive. He put up 31 on Gonzaga last year, so he won’t be afraid or back down from this matchup.
Chris Duarte (Oregon) vs. Seton Hall
Had a really good night vs. Missouri scoring 22 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assist and 2 steals. He did a little big of everything, which is what we expected coming into this season. Duarte is seeing an uptick in usage early on due to the injury to fellow backcourt member Will Richardson. Duarte showed that he is more than capable of being a big time offensive threat for this Oregon team this year. Durarte and Oregon find a favorable matchup awaiting them tonight vs. a Seton Hall team that just got beat up by Rhode Island. Duarte is one of my top guards today.

Forwards
Eugene Omoruyi (Oregon) vs. Seton Hall
A common theme you will notice is that I really like the players, especially the high end guys, from this game. Omoruyi was absolutely dominant in Oregon’s first game. He finished the night vs. Missouri with 31 points 11 rebounds and a block. Omoruyi is a transfer from Rutgers who came from Rutgers known as a “tweener” who is a tenacious rebounder and bucket getter. He lived up to those connotations in the first game. He is priced high, but I believe he is in another great spot tonight. I don’t know if he will be a guy I get to in cash, because with another versatile, multi-position player in Figueroa coming back it could cut into Omoruyi’s production.
KC Ndefo (St. Peters) vs. Maryland
St. Peters was one of the top rated teams in terms of defensive efficiency last season, and are expected to be good on that end of the court again. One of the main reasons they are such a fierce defensive squad is because they have a guy named KC Ndefo. Ndefo is an elite defender and makes life difficult on anyone down low. Standing at only 6’7 he is one of the most elite shot blockers in the country. Last season Ndefo was voted the Defensive Player of the Year for the MAAC and also the 6th man of the year. He lead the MAAC in blocked shot rate and steal rate. His blocked shot rate was also good for 8th in the entire country. Ndefo comes in at a very low price of only $4800, and comes with an amazing ceiling at that price.
Aaron Henry (Michigan State) vs. Detroit
One of the highest totals on the slate, I expect Henry to have a big stat line at the conclusion of the night. Detroit was awful on the boards last year, and couldn’t stop anyone. Henry has seen his price creep up over 8k for the first time this year, but he has been super productive on both ends of the court so far averaging more than 2 blocks per game and right at 2 steals per game. If Davis can have a big game and keep Detroit within shouting distance of Michigan State I expect Henry’s athleticism to be a major issue for Detroit.
