Guards
Marcus Zegarowski (Creighton) vs. Seton Hall
Zegarowski is Creighton’s leader in usage, with a usage rate of 24.2%. He is the primary ball handler and is a really good facilitator, averaging a 24% assist rate. He has started to improve his shot over the last few games, getting closer to his career averages. He not only is a good scorer and passer, but rebounds really well for his position. He does everything really well, and priced at only $7200, he is a solid play in all formats tonight.
Marcus Carr (Minnesota) vs. Michigan
This game has the highest over/under on the slate with a 152 total. Carr has seen his numbers take a slight hit with the emergence of big man Liam Robbins, but wit Robbins battling down low with Hunter Dickerson, I expect Carr’s numbers to get back to what they were early in the season. This is a pace up spot for both teams, a spot that Carr should thrive in. He comes with a heavy price tag, but has 40+ point upside in this matchup.
Jared Butler (Baylor) vs. Oklahoma
Butler leads this Baylor team in both usage and scoring. He gets a very favorable matchup vs. Oklahoma who have struggled on the defensive end. Not only is Butler a really good scorer, but he is a very good passer and rebounder, he also has the ability to create turnovers, averaging nearly 2 steals per game. Butler is just a guy that is effective in producing in all areas of the game. In competitive games he is seeing over 30 minutes of action. I expect Oklahoma to keep this one somewhat close up until late, allowing for Butler to get full run here, and crush his 8k price tag.
Others to consider: J. Roach (DUKE), D. Steward (DUKE); D. Shular (MISS); W. Tabbs (BC); M. Ashton-Langford (BC); Y. Pons (TENN); V. Bailey (TENN); B. Aiken (SHU); D. Cambridge (AUB); E. Brooks (MICH); M. Smith (MICH); D. Mitchell (BAY)
Forwards
Sandro Mamukelashvili (Seton Hall) vs. Creighton
Mamu is a lock and load play for me tonight. He is averaging 16 points, 5 assist, 6 rebounds, 2 steals and a blocked shot per game. He is the definition of a stat stuffer. He is able to do work down low against traditional bigs, and is also able to pull them out to the 3 point line and beat them off the dribble. He is also a very talented shooter from deep for a big. He is priced below the likes of Robbins and Dickerson, and is a much more well rounded player than both of them. Take the savings on Sandro tonight, because this may be one of the last times we get him priced below 9k.
Franz Wagner (Michigan) vs. Minnesota
Speaking of players that have been dominant, Franz Wagner has dominated for this Michigan team all year long. Wagner is averaging 16 points and 7 rebounds per game and also averaging 2 blocks per game. Over his last 3 games his shot attempts have jumped to around 13 per game. He is shooting over 50% from the field and over 30% from 3. Dickerson carries the highest usage rate on this team with Wagner close behind him, but will have his hands full with Minnesota big man Liam Robbins. I expect Wagner to see an increase in usage tonight.
Romello White (Ole Miss) vs Auburn
Auburn is not a very good defensive team vs. opposing teams frontcourts, and really struggle in the rebounding department. White is a really good rebounder, and can be an effective scoring presence on the inside. He is shooting nearly 70% from the field this year. White is playing nearly 28 minutes per game, and if he can stay out of foul trouble, we could see him get well over that number tonight. I can definitely see him reaching a double/double tonight, because I suspect Auburn will have a tough time keeping him off of the glass.
Others to consider: S. Mitchell (BC); H. Dickerson (MICH); M. Hurt (DUKE); B. Manek (OKLA); J. Fulkerson (TENN); C. Felder (BC); M. Teague (BAY)
