Guards
Robert Phinisee (Indiana) vs. Purdue
Phinisee has been inserted to replace Franklin over the span of his injury, and it is still unsure if Franklin is 100%. Franklin is currently a GTD for tonight’s slate, but their coach has indicated that he is still not 100%, leading me to believe he will miss tonight’s game. Phinisee has played very well in Franklins absence and I expect him to keep up that production tonight. Keep an eye on Franklins status, and if he is confirmed out, Phinisee should be a main building piece to your main lineup.
Jamal Bey (Washington) vs. USC
Bey has had a very significant increase in his minutes over the last two games, playing 35 minutes per game over that span. He has been productive during his time on the court, and has taken full advantage of the increase in playing time. He gets a nice matchup here, and should be able to keep up the solid production he has shown. He has averaged 17 points per game over Washington’s last two contest. Solid value on such a small slate.
Others to consider: J. Akinjo (ARZ); Q. Green (WSH); T. Eaddy (USC); E. Stevenson (WSH); E. Thompson (OSU)
Forwards
Evan Mobley (USC) vs. Washington
Mobley is a future 1st round NBA draft pick, and over the course of his last few games he has shown why he is so widely regarded as one of the best big men in this class. He has been dominant this year in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots. He has had 6 blocked shots in each of his last two games. Mobley is my top spend up on this slate. Washington is really going to struggle handling the combination of his size and skill around the basket here.
Trevion Williams (Purdue) vs. Indiana
Williams has an amazing usage rate of 36% this year, and has shown that he can dominate just about any teams frontcourts. Indiana will present a challenge for him, and he always runs the risk of getting into foul trouble. However, he is still a very strong rebounder and can add upside with his ability to block shots. I think Williams is a really good pivot off of Mobley, and you could even play them together with some of the other value we have on this slate.
Others to consider: T. Jackson-Davis (IND); I. Mobley (USC); R. Thompson (IND); J. Brown (ARZ); A. Tobelis (ARZ); W. Alatishe (OSU)
