Bobby’s Top Cash/GPP Plays (1/13/18)

Short 4-game slate tonight I’ll list my top plays for cash and GPP pivots with Draftkings pricing.  If you have any questions about Fanduel pricing just reach out to me in the discord chat before lock or DM me on twitter and I’ll try to get to your question.  Let’s get into my top GPP plays for this slate.   You can access my CORE GPP Plays by signing up for an NBA package at dfskarma.com!

AS NBA is a game where last-minute real-life changes are made before tipoff, always monitor breaking news up to last second!

The plays below in this daily article are low owned pivots and GPP plays.  This means that these players will be RELATIVELY low owned and ‘contrarian’ relative to the more highly owned, chalky plays of the night.

BALL IN!

Point Guard

Top Cash Plays:

  1. Steph Curry – $9,800 (It’s one of the best players in the NBA for < $10,000 on a four game slate in a fantastic matchup where you’ll need the points and exposure. Lock of slate.)
  2. Lonzo Ball – $6,400  (Ball continues to play well this season.  If he posts a big scoring night he will get to a massive ceiling given his periphrials.)
  3. Only two viable cash PG’s unless you’re playing Harden, Ingram, or Doncic here which I would not do.

Top GPP Plays:

  1. Austin Rivers $4,900 – (A guard who is projected for nearly 40 minutes tonight below 5k?  Wow, can’t believe more people aren’t on him.)
  2. Jamal Murray – $7,100 – (I don’t love the price but he’s been hot and has a massive scoring ceiling)
  3. Dennis Smith Jr. – $4,500 (Keep an eye on his status closer to game time)

Shooting Guard

Top Cash Plays:

  1. James Harden – $12,700 (Don’t be cute here. He’s a lock until further notice.)
  2. Brandon Ingram – $6,300 (I’ve seen the bust in this spot before but with all the Laker injuries I think you need him to cash tonight)
  3. Gerald Green – $4,000 (Who doesn’t love playing Gerald Green when he gets 25+ minutes)

Top GPP Plays:

  1. Terrance Ross – $4,300 (Should be higher owned.  His name and reputation will hurt his ownership here in a fantastic spot.  Going to need to pay down somewhere).
  2. Klay Thompson – $7,200
  3. Josh Hart – $5,500 (Don’t love the play but don’t hate it.  If he fits your lineup go for it.)

Small Forward

Top Cash Plays:

  1. Kyle Kuzma – $6,900 (Has the most talent on the team when LeBron isn’t playing.  Isn’t afraid to light it up. Lakers are implied for a massive 115 points scored.  Kuz could drop 30+).
  2. Kevin Durant – $9,600 (I’m prioritizing Curry/Harden but can’t go wrong here).
  3. Aaron Gordon – $6,500 (Too volatile to see a ton of ownership but 50 point ceiling and he’s underpriced in a fantastic matchup)

Top GPP Plays:

  1. Luka Doncic – $8,500
  2. Cedi Osman – $4,200
  3. Jonathan Isaac – $3,600 (Punt play that could win you a GPP if you play the studs in the order I recommended)

Power Forward

Top Cash Plays:

  1. Paul Millsap – $6,000 (Underpriced while minutes are on the rise)
  2. Draymond Green – $6,700 (I really like the Curry-Green 1-2 punch)
  3. PJ Tucker – $4,500 (If you want to sweat out 4.5x over 37 minutes)

Top GPP Plays:

  1. Al-Farouq Aminu – $4,800 (One of the best PF matchups on the slate)
  2. Danuel House – $3,900 (Twice the usage as Tucker for cheaper.  If he’s playing well or they blow out the Magic, House could see over 30 minutes.)
  3. Harrison Barnes – $5,600 (Massive narrative at play here.  I think he has a huge game)

Center

Top Cash Plays:

  1. Clint Capela – $7,800 (Highest owned player on the slate)
  2. Nikola Vucevic – $8,700 (He’ll have a huge game if this game goes as Vegas scripted)
  3. Nikola Jokic – $10,200 (So many great center options.  Definitely will need two of them tonight in cash and GPP)

Top GPP Plays:

  1. JaVale Mcgee – $5,000 (obviously nervous about fatigue but easily can post a monster score.  He should thrive in a slower paced matchup where he won’t get winded so quick.)
  2. DeAndre Jordan – $6,800 (50+ upside in a spot where he’s not going to get any ownership because of everyone paying up.)
  3. Ante Zicic – $3,900 (Punt)
