Bobby’s NBA GPP Top Plays (1/17/19)

Short 5-game slate tonight I’ll list my top plays for GPP pivots with Draftkings pricing and some quick hits.  If you have any questions about Fanduel pricing just reach out to me in the discord chat before lock or DM me on twitter and I’ll try to get to your question.  Let’s get into my top GPP plays for this slate.   You can access my CORE GPP Plays by signing up for an NBA package at dfskarma.com!

AS NBA is a game where last-minute real-life changes are made before tipoff, always monitor breaking news up to last second!

The plays below in this daily article are low owned pivots and GPP plays.  This means that these players will be RELATIVELY low owned and ‘contrarian’ relative to the more highly owned, chalky plays of the night.

BALL IN!

Point Guard

Top GPP Plays:

  1. Lonzo Ball $6,400 – Ball is grading out as the best PG PT/$ on the slate yet is 8th in projected ownership at the PG position on a 5 game slate.  He has a ton of upside with how he’s been shooting from deep.
  2. Delon Wright – $4,600 – People won’t want to pay this price for a backup PG but he is getting more and more minutes with Lowry playing terribly.  He’s a pretty high FP/min player for a backup.
  3. Corey Joesph – $3,700 – Joesph is locked in for his minutes and I actually like this matchup with the Sixers who are bottom 1/2 of the league in defensive rating against guards over their past 10 games.

Shooting Guard

Top GPP Plays:

  1. Bogdan Bogdanovic – $5,500 – The price is fantastic and we know he has a 45+ DK point ceiling.  Surprised he’s not projected to be higher owned tonight.
  2. Buddy Hield – $6,100 – If you don’t want to go with Bogdan I think you need one of the two tonight.  One of them is going to have a huge game.
  3. Josh Hart – $4,100 – Massive price drop but we really don’t know what kind of minutes he’ll get in the rotation.  If he gets back to usual tonight he could be an elite value at this price.

Small Forward

Top GPP Plays:

  1. Jabari Parker – $3,600 – Obviously this is a punt play, but Jabari is back int he rotation and has an insane usage rate while on the floor.  He could smash this price tag in various different ways tonight.
  2. Nic Batum – $4,900 – Batum’s price has come down as he’s been playing pretty poorly this year but his do-it-all style of play keeps his ceiling intact.  A big game is coming and I don’t mind taking a shot on a 5-game slate.
  3. MKG – $3,500 – This is a fantastic matchup to get exposure to these Hornets players in what should be a fast pace game and I think MKG will see over his projected minutes total where he has the upside to crush his price tag.

Power Forward

Top GPP Plays:

  1. Pascal Siakam – $7,000 – People still haven’t realized Siakam’s price is continuing to increase and we’ve been buying on him since he was sub-5k on Draftkings.  He’s over an FP/min scorer and sees heavy minutes as a starter for the Raptors.  He’s in my opinion, the second best player on the team, and is only getting better as guys like Kyle Lowry/Serge Ibaka continue to decline in their careers.
  2. Lauri Markkanen – $5,900 – Markkanen for under 6k?  Sign me up.  The dude has incredible fantasy upside with the way he plays.
  3. TJ Warren – $6,000 – The matchup is not ideal but the total in this game is massive. Warren has the oppurtunity for a 50DK point game and no one will be on him.

Center

Top GPP Plays:

  1. Bobby Portis – $4,600 – The spot is just too good to not be overexposed to the Chicago bigs (Portis, Markkanen, and Parker).  2/3 of these guys are going to smash value and I’ll have at least two in all my lineups.
  2. Tyson Chandler – $3,500 – This isn’t a sexy play but a double-double is not out of the question for Chandler with extended minutes.  He has 10x upside.
  3. Willie Cauley-Stein- $6,500 – I love playing Cauley-Stein in games like this and he should thrive with this matchup against the Hornets.
