Different style article today. I’m going to focus mainly on game theory and then list my top GPP options at each position.
Let’s get into my top GPP plays for this slate. You can access my CORE GPP Plays by signing up for an NBA package at dfskarma.com!
AS NBA is a game where last-minute real-life changes are made before tipoff, always monitor breaking news up to last second!
The plays below in this daily article are low owned pivots and GPP plays. This means that these players will be RELATIVELY low owned and ‘contrarian’ relative to the more highly owned, chalky plays of the night.
BALL IN!
Game Theory:
Just at a 1000 Ft. level it is clear which two games are going to have the most fantasy goodness tonight in the Warriors/Kings (226 Over-Under) and the Pelicans/Wizards (238.5 Over-Under). I’m going to identify the top options from each team that will lead you to “optimal” exposure.
Wizards: John Wall is the best player with the highest ceiling from the slate’s highest implied team total. He’ll be around 20-25% owned most likely but is an amazing play. Follow him up in “Tier 2” with Bradley Beal and Otto Porter who both are solid plays on this slate but don’t pop off the page like Wall does in a high pace matchup like this. I also think Thomas Santoransky is a nice punt play at 3.5k
Pelicans: Back to back for these guys with AD questionable. Something you NEED to monitor as it changes the entire dynamic of the slate if he’s out or limited. Nikola Mirotic is the top play here regardless if AD plays or not and will be a #Lock in my lineups. Jrue Holiday is another solid play but at that price range I’m giving Wall the edge if AD is in.
Warriors: Quinn Cook is the value lock of the slate. Kevin Durant is my favorite 10k+ stud to pay up for. I also like Klay Thompson. If you’re dumpster diving here go Iggy, Damion Lee, or Looney.
Kings: This is where we’re going to see most of the chalk on this slate as the Kings and Warriors are two fast paced teams in a high game total where it should stay close. All the Kings are fairly cheap. Bogdan Bogdanovic will compete with Cook for the Who’s chalkier award. Marvin Bagley is going to be very popular as well as his minutes are on the rise. Cauley-Stein, Fox, and Heild are all going to have 10-15% ownership but are the less desired options from this offense.
Rankings will be in terms of ceiling in order. The value is obvious on this slate.
