- Tonight is an interesting slate because it seems that the value plays will be fairly condensed where ownership on the top tier players will be a bit more spread out. With that being said, it is still only a 6-game slate so we are not going to get a ton of diversification in our builds tonight.
- The top value play that I’m identifying that should prove to be chalk is, Ellie Okobo at 3.2k projecting for over 22 Draftkings points. With the players we’re able to fit into our lineups by utilizing Okobo tonight he is a core play and someone you definitely want to play.
- The next value play that I will be utilizing is PJ Tucker. Tucker is only 3.7k and projecting over 22 Draftkings points. We’re paying around $500 more compared to Okobo for a similar projection but if you have a player you wanted to play at the guard position, the opportunity cost is less when using Tucker. Of course, you may just be playing both of these value guys.
- So looking in the top tier, James Harden pops with just ridiculous projections 40%+ usage rate and 38 minutes. But at 13k, how many people are going to play him? Even at this price tag, he is the top spend on the slate and the current 24% ownership protection on him is too low.
- If filling in Harden with two value plays, you’ll likely be focusing on mid-tier plays to fill out the rest of your lineup. Utilize the table above to construct the rest of your core’s tonight while keeping in mind the color scheme to create some natural leverage in your lineups.
- The fade game of the slate for me is the Jazz vs Nets. On Draftkings, the prices of players on both sides of the game don’t make much sense outside of Donovan Mitchell. Kyrie back kills all players on the Nets while his price tag is too high for his limited minutes.
