- Tonight is only a 4-game slate so first thing to address is to make sure you allocate your dollars in play tonight accordingly given that this is a much more volatile slate where two players can be the difference between first place in a GPP and not cashing.
- The lock of the night for me is Andre Drummond. He projects as a better value then any other player on the slate by a fairly wide margin and with the only other player on the team demanding usage being D. Rose (another great play tonight), we should see an extremely high usage rate from Drummond with high minutes as the Pistons look to improve his trade stock.
- I’ve mentioned in the past that game-stacking on short-slates is important due to the fact that not many people will do it but when a game does go to over-time on a short slate, those who did take the chance and stack it will have a massive advantage over the rest of the field.
- Going off the above point, do your best to get the obvious value plays in that you can’t go without. The only player trending in that direction currently is Kevin Love who correlates nicely with Drummond. If you can fit a game-stack around those two players outside of the Cavs/Pistons game, I think that’s a very smart way to approach this short-slate. As of right now there are no major values that you HAVE to have, so that’s a GOOD thing. Ownership will be spread out making a game-stack even more low-owned than it would have been.
