C.J. McCollum has been playing at an elite level without Damian Lillard in the lineup. Since the All Star Break, he’s averaging 32.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 10.7 assists, and 1.0 block (55.9 fantasy points) in 39.2 minutes per game. McCollum is the clear focal point of the offense, seeing an increase in usage and minutes since Lillard’s injury. He gets a tough matchup against the Indiana Pacers. They rank 25th in the NBA in pace and eighth in defensive rating. Still, McCollum will continue to see 20+ shot attempts, while possessing triple-double potential in this new role. His total is creeping up each night, but it’s still a bit low for his potential.
Anthony Davis has caught fire since the All Star Break. He’s averaging 27.0 points, 13.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 5.0 blocks (61.0 fantasy points) in 35.1 minutes per game in those contests. Davis also posted 60+ fantasy points in 2 of his last 3 games. Davis will see an increase usage rating with LeBron James out tonight. He’ll also see extra opportunities for peripheral stats, as the offense is more likely to run through him. Davis also gets a great matchup against the Golden State Warriors. They rank 12th and 25th in the NBA in pace and defensive rating, respectively. This total is high, but Davis is likely to be the highest scoring player on this slate.
