Jayson Tatum has been playing at an elite level recently. He posted 45+ fantasy points in 6 of his last 7 games. He’s averaging 30.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 1.4 steals (50.8 fantasy points) in 37.3 minutes per game over that span. Tatum gets a plus matchup against the Portland Blazers, who rank 11th in the NBA in pace and 27th in defensive rating. He’s scoring at an elite level, while flashing the ability to contribute in each of the five categories. Tatum will continue to be the focal point of the offense, while playing minutes in the high-30s. He should continue his hot streak in a plus matchup tonight, as well.
C.J. McCollum has taken over the offense with Damian Lillard injured. He’s averaging 34.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 11.0 assists (58.0 fantasy points) in 40.0 minutes per game in his last 2 games without Lillard. McCollum has taken over as the primary scorer, while also possessing triple-double upside. He gets a tough matchup against the Boston Celtics, who rank 17th and third in the NBA in pace and defensive rating, respectively. While the matchup isn’t ideal, this total doesn’t represent McCollum’s new role. He’ll see minutes in the high-30s or low-40s tonight, and makes an elite play on this slate.
