Welcome to Bales’ Premium PrizePicks – NBA Player Props 2/24! Below I will discuss my NBA favorite plays for tonight’s slate!
Power Play
RJ Barrett has seen a plethora of ups and downs throughout his rookie campaign. He has struggled in 5 games since returning from injury, averaging 10.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists (17.1 fantasy points) in 23.5 minutes per game. While his numbers are a bit skewed because of a lack of playing time, Barrett has seen 29 and 26 minutes in his last 2 games, scoring only 20 and 21.8 fantasy points. He was a focal point of the offense in each of those games, struggling from the field. Barrett gets an interesting matchup against the Houston Rockets tonight. They’re a team that pushes the pace, although they still feature an average defense. Barrett is likely to find minutes in the high-20s tonight, but he has struggled to produce on a per minute basis throughout the season, and that isn’t overly likely to change tonight.
Malik Beasley is a player who continues to be undervalued. He’s averaging 22.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists (34.0 fantasy points) in 33.6 minutes per game through 5 games with the Minnesota Wolves. Beasley has also seen his usage rating increase to roughly 25%. He’s also averaging 17.4 shot attempts, 9.2 three-point attempts, and 2.4 free throw attempts per game with Minnesota. Beasley is coming off two difficult matchups against the Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets, but he gets a better matchup against the Dallas Mavericks tonight. They currently rank 20th and 18th in the NBA in pace and defensive rating. Beasley will continue to be a focal point of the offense with Karl-Anthony Towns out, and he makes an outstanding option in this matchup.
