Power Play
Evan Fournier has been playing at an extremely high level recently. He is averaging 24.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.6 steals (34.3 fantasy points) in 35.5 minutes per game over the last 10 days. Fournier has been locked into big minutes, and he has been a dominant scorer for the Orlando Magic. He gets an elite matchup against the Washington Wizards, who play at one of the fastest paces in the NBA. They also feature arguably the worst defense in the NBA this season. Fournier scored 41.7 fantasy points against Washington in their only matchup this season, and it wouldn’t be shocking if he finds similar success tonight.
Nikola Jokic has been struggling a bit this season. He has scored 27, 36.5, and 36.1 fantasy points in his last 3 games. Jokic hasn’t been locked into minutes in high-30s like he was last season. He also isn’t as large of a part of the offense. Still, Jokic comes with tremendous upside. With that being said, he gets a matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers tonight. They have been slowing the pace down, while boasting an outstanding defense. The Lakers feature one of the best defenses in the NBA against centers. Jokic could continue to struggle, specifically in difficult matchups, and his total is a bit high tonight.
