Power Play
The Toronto Raptors are dealing with a plethora of injuries. Pascal Siakam, Norman Powell, and Marc Gasol have already been ruled out, while Fred VanVleet is questionable. Kyle Lowry will be forced into minutes in the high-30s or low-40s tonight. He’s coming off of a 53 fantasy point triple double against the Detroit Pistons, and will see a larger role in the offense tonight. Lowry also gets an elite matchup against the Washington Wizards, who play at one of the fastest paced in the NBA, but feature one of the worst defenses. This total would be a bit high for Lowry on most nights, but without a healthy Toronto team in arguably the best matchup in the NBA, it’s a bit low for his upside.
Kristaps Porzingis has looked elite since the injury to Luka Doncic. He’s averaging 23.6 points, 13.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.3 blocks (50.6 fantasy points) in 36.0 minutes per game over his last 3 games. He scored 50+ fantasy points in each of those games, as well. Porzingis has taken over the offense with Doncic injured, and he’s a double-double threat on a nightly basis. He also comes with tremendous block potential. Porzingis gets a tough matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers, but this total is entirely too low. It seems as if people forget that Porzingis was one of the best young bigs in the NBA prior to giving way to Doncic in Dallas. He makes an elite option tonight.
Play 1 unit on Kyle Lowry OVER 41.0 fantasy points and Kristaps Porzingis OVER 43.0 fantasy points to win 2.5 units (2.5x)
