Richaun Holmes has looked outstanding on a pre minute basis this season. Through 13 games, he’s averaging 1.02 fantasy points per minute. He’s also coming off of one of his best games of the season, scoring 45 fantasy points in 34 minutes against the Phoenix Suns. Holmes is a nightly double-double threat, who has the potential to add steals and blocks. His biggest issues have come from a lack of consistent minutes, but he’s expected to play 30+ minutes once again tonight. He gets an elite matchup against the Brooklyn Nets, as well. Brooklyn loves pushing the pace, and Holmes is an athletic big man, who will be able to keep up. That pace will allow him to see extra opportunities. If Holmes sees 30+ minutes tonight, this total is entirely too low.
This is an extremely high total, but Luka Doncic has taken his game to another level recently. He has scored 68+ fantasy points in 3 of his last 4 games. In those games, he’s averaging 34.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 10.3 assists, and 2.3 steals (65.7 fantasy points) in 32.5 minutes per game. Doncic gets an elite matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers, who simply don’t have anyone that can guard him defensively. In their only matchup this season, Doncic posted a triple-double against Cleveland, while scoring 63.3 fantasy points. He continues to get better as a player, and we can take advantage of his recent hot streak.
