Welcome to Bales’ Premium PrizePicks – NBA Player Props 1/27! Below I will discuss my NBA favorite plays for tonight’s slate!
Power Play
Nikola Vucevic has seen plenty of ups and downs recently. He’s averaging 18.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.2 steals (39.1 fantasy points) in 31.4 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He has scored fewer than 42 fantasy points in 5 of his last 7 games. Vucevic gets a tough matchup against the Miami Heat tonight. Miami ranks 26th in the NBA in pace and 14th in defensive rating. They also feature one of the best defenses in the NBA against centers. Vucevic will be traveling to Miami, and his efficiency drops significantly on the road. He nearly triple-doubled in his only matchup against the Heat this season, but I don’t expect him to find similar success tonight. His total is a bit high, making the under a significantly better play.
Clint Capela is only averaging 12.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 3.0 blocks (34.9 fantasy points) in 30.5 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He’s expected to play without Russell Westbrook and James Harden tonight, though. Capela could find a few more offensive touches, while seeing plenty of rebounding opportunities in this game. He gets somewhat of a difficult matchup against the Utah Jazz, who rank 21st in the NBA in pace and seventh in defensive rating. Still, Capela comes with 20/20 potential to go along with elite blocking upside. This total is extremely high for his recent production, but he’ll be featured in a new offensive role in this game tonight.
