Power Play
Jonas Valanciunas has been an outstanding per minute player. He simply isn’t seeing big minutes on a consistent basis, though. Over the last 10 days, Valanciunas is averaging 15.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.5 blocks (35.0 fantasy points) in 25.1 minutes per game. His numbers are a bit inflated by a 52.6 fantasy point performance against the Phoenix Suns. Overall, Valanciunas has scored fewer than 34 fantasy points in 5 of his last 7 games. He gets a plus matchup against the San Antonio Spurs, who he recently found success against, scoring 35.9 fantasy points against. With that being said, he played only 25 minutes, and is expected to find similar minutes tonight. This total is too high for his projected playing time.
Domantas Sabonis has caught fire recently. He’s averaging 22.2 points, 11.2 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 1.2 steals (47.9 fantasy points) in 35.3 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He has scored 45+ fantasy points in each of those 5 games. Sabonis gets an elite matchup against the Chicago Bulls, who have struggled against bigs throughout the 2019 season. He is questionable for this game, but is expected to play full minutes if he suits up. Sabonis should find plenty of success in 30-35 minutes in this matchup. His total is a bit low compared to his recent success.
