Over Under 2/2 – Philadelphia 76ers/Orlando Magic
I’m never a huge fan of playing point props on Jimmy Butler, but this one makes sense. His role finally looks defined in the new Philadelphia 76ers offense, and he’s averaging 23.8 points per game over his last five games. He’s also averaging 15.8 shot attempts, 3.2 three-point attempts, and 8.8 free throw attempts per game over that span. If that isn’t enough, Butler has posted 22+ points in each of those five games. The matchup against the Orlando Magic is less than ideal, but Butler should be able to shoot around 50% once again tonight, and he’s finding enough volume to hit the over. The only thing that has stopped D.J. Augustin recently has been limited minutes, and even that hasn’t slowed him down recently. He has posted 6+ assists in each of his last six games. He’s also averaging 7.3 assists in 31.5 minutes per game over that span. Augustin is also averaging 7.7 assists in 31.3 minutes per game against the Sixers this season. I’m expecting a similar results tonight, finding the over in this game.
NOTE: Ben Simmons has been ruled out, adding value to Butler.
Play $50 on Jimmy Butler OVER 20.5 points and D.J. Augustin OVER 5.5 assists to win $129.50 (2.59x)
Over Under 2/2 – Oklahoma City Thunder/Memphis Grizzlies
Russell Westbrook has been an extremely risky recently. He has posted fewer than 24 points in four of his last six games, but he easily exceeded that total, scoring 31 and 42 points in his other two games. He gets a matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies, though, who he is averaging only 18.5 points per game against this season. Memphis is the slowest paced team in the NBA, meaning Westbrook could see limited opportunities tonight. Memphis is also dealing with a plethora of injuries, meaning the Oklahoma City Thunder could quickly blow them out, allowing Westbrook to find some time on the bench in the second half of this game. Jaren Jackson Jr. and Joakim Noah are both expected to miss this game, and Jonas Valanciunas will be forced into 30+ minutes. He’s averaging 13.5 rebounds on a per-36 minute basis this season, and he’s an elite option while on the court. He has also posted 14, 24, and 15 rebounds in his last three games. Valanciunas also posted 13 rebounds against Oklahoma City in their only matchup this season. There’s no reason to believe he won’t hit the over in this contest.
Play $50 on Russell Westbrook UNDER 23.5 points and Jonas Valanciunas OVER 10.5 rebounds to win $124 (2.48x)
