Over Under 2/2 – Sacramento Kings/Philadelphia 76ers
This is strictly a minutes based play for Marvin Bagley III. He was recently injured, and he returned in the Sacramento Kings last game. He only played 19 minutes in that game, and he’s expected to find similar minutes tonight. Bagley simply isn’t likely to be able to grab eight rebounds in 20 minutes, as he’s averaging 7.2 rebounds in 24.4 minutes per game on the season. Tobias Harris has cooled off a bit recently, but he has performed well since joining the Philadelphia 76ers. He’s averaging 19.9 points on 14.9 shot attempts, 5.7 three-point attempts, and 2.7 free throw attempts per game through 14 games with Philly. He has also scored 20+ points in nine of those games. Harris certainly loses some usage with Joel Embiid back in the lineup, but he’ll see extra possessions, as Sacramento loves pushing the pace in their games. He’s also averaging 21.0 points in three games against the Kings this season.
Play $50 on Tobias Harris OVER 19.5 points and Marvin Bagley III UNDER 7.5 rebounds to win $117.50 (2.35x)
Over Under 2/2 – Charlotte Hornets/Washington Wizards
The Washington Wizards have featured one of the worst defenses in the NBA against opposing point guards, and that’s something Kemba Walker can take advantage of. He only scored 18 points in their last matchup, but he’s still averaging a healthy 30.7 points in 36.0 minutes per game through three matchups against Washington. Walker could also be heating up, as he has scored 25 and 40 points in his last two games. Washington will be looking to push the pace in this game once again, giving Walker plenty of opportunities to find easy baskets. Bobby Portis is a bit more inconsistent because of his lack of minutes on a nightly basis. He has looked outstanding recently, though, as he’s averaging 9.6 rebounds in 26.4 minutes per game over the last 10 days. This is a plus matchup, as the Charlotte Hornets have struggled against big men throughout the season, and Portis is averaging 10.5 rebounds in 28.2 minutes per game against them this season. He’s currently expected to play minutes in the high-20s or low-30s, and he has posted 13 and 12 rebounds in his last two games with 30+ minutes. He’s a bit risky, but I’m willing to look passed that for nearly 2.5x our play.
Play $50 on Kemba Walker OVER 24.5 points and Bobby Portis OVER 9.5 rebounds to win $123.50 (2.47x)
Over Under 2/2 – Los Angeles Lakers/Detroit Pistons
This play is relatively simple. LeBron James has been ruled out, while other of the Los Angeles Lakers players are dealing with small (or major) injuries. Kyle Kuzma will be locked into 30+ minutes tonight, and he’ll be the focal point of the Los Angeles offense. He was easily exceeding this point total when James was injured previously this season, and there’s no reason to believe he won’t step back into that role tonight. We can expect 20+ points from Kuzma in this game. Andre Drummond is simply a matchup play. He’s an elite rebounder, averaging 16.6 rebounds in 33.0 minutes per game over the last 10 days. The Lakers simply don’t have anyone that will be able to contain him in the paint. In their only matchup this season, Drummond posted 16 rebounds, and he could see another 20/20 game tonight. We don’t quite need that great of a game to hit the over in this play, either.
Play $50 on Kyle Kuzma OVER 18.5 points and Andre Drummond OVER 15.5 rebounds to win $116.50 (2.33x)
