He’s also averaging 23.0 shot attempts, 8.2 three-point attempts, and 12.0 free throw attempts in those games. Beal has scored 34+ points in each of his last 6 games. He gets a plus matchup against the Golden State Warriors. They rank 12th in the NBA in pace and 24th in defensive rating. Beal will find minutes in the mid- to high-30s once again, and he’ll be the focal point of the Washington Wizards offense once again. Most importantly, Beal has seen 15+ free throws in each of his last 4 games, and getting free points is essential to finding the over at this total.
D’Angelo Russell has seen plenty of ups and downs this season. He has seen limited minutes in each of his last two games. Prior to that, he scored 26+ points in 5 consecutive games. When given the minutes, Russell generally sees 20+ shot attempts with double-digit three-point attempts. He’s an outstanding scorer, who gets an elite matchup against Washington. They rank sixth in the NBA in pace and last in defensive rating. If Russell is active tonight, he’ll see minutes in the mid- to high-30s. He could see a few extra shot attempts because of the pace of this game, as well. This game features a Vegas total of 236 points, and taking the over on each teams top scorer makes an outstanding option.
