Joel Embiid has seen plenty of ups and downs throughout the 2019 season. He started heating back up prior to the All Star Break, scoring 26 and 28 points in his last 2 games. Embiid boasts a team-high 32.0% usage rating, while also leading the team in shot and free throw attempts and points per game this season. He gets a decent matchup against the Brooklyn Nets tonight. They rank 10th in the NBA in pace and ninth in defensive rating. Brooklyn has been an average defense against centers, allowing 21.8 points per game to opposing centers. Embiid will see more opportunities than most to find success, and he should continue on his recent success.
DeAndre Jordan gets a tough matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers tonight. They rank 18th in the NBA in pace and fourth in defensive rating. They also allow a league-low 13.0 rebounds per game to opposing centers. With that being said, DeAndre Jordan has caught fire recently. He has played 23+ minutes in each of his last 3 games, posting 10+ rebounds in each game. Overall, he’s averaging 14.3 rebounds in 26.7 minutes per game in those contests. Jordan owns a team-high 23.9% rebounding rate, and he’s expected to continue to find minutes in the mid-20s tonight. With Jarrett Allen playing 20 or fewer minutes on a nightly basis, Jordan makes an outstanding option to find double-digit rebounds, even in a difficult matchup.
