More or Less 2/2 – Golden State Warriors/San Antonio Spurs
DeMar DeRozan has caught fire over the last 10 days. Over that span, he’s averaging 25.0 points in 30.1 minutes per game. He’s also averaging 14.0 shot attempts and 5.8 free throw attempts per game over that span. DeRozan was able to score 21+ points in each of those games. He gets a great matchup against the Golden State Warriors tonight. They currently rank 15th in the NBA in pace and 23rd in defensive rating. DeRozan is a player that relies heavily on efficiency for his scoring, and he should continue to find that against a weak Golden State defense. He needed only 7 shot attempts to scored 13 points in his only matchup against the Warriors this season, and he should be more heavily involved in the offense tonight.
Alec Burks was playing well, but he saw his minutes drop when he moved back to the bench with Glenn Robinson returning. Over his last 3 games, Burks is averaging 12.3 points in only 25.0 minutes per game. He’s also averaging 11.3 shot attempts, 4.7 three-point attempts, and 3.7 free throw attempts per game in those contests. He has scored 18 or fewer points in 8 of his last 10 games, as well. Surprisingly, Burks need only 15.4 minutes to score 14 points against the San Antonio Spurs in their only matchup. The Spurs have been pushing the pace while struggling defensively, but Burks is likely to see a significantly smaller role in the offense. This play seems more based around his starting role rather than his new bench role, as well.
Play 1 unit on DeMar DeRozan OVER 20.5 points and Alec Burks UNDER 18.5 points to win 3 units (3x)
