4 Point Play – Houston Rockets/Brooklyn Nets
This is an interesting type of contest, as you gain a bonus point for three-pointers made. James Harden struggled in his first two games, scoring 19 and 29 points against the Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans, respectively. Since then, he has faced off against the Oklahoma City Thunder and Washington Wizards, scoring 40 and 59 points. Harden is averaging 36.8 points per game this season, while shooting only 37.9% from the field and 22.2% from beyond the arc. He made 6-14 three-pointers in his last game, and his slump may be over. This game features a ridiculous Vegas total of 241.5 points, and Harden will continue to be the scoring focal point of the Houston offense.
Kyrie Irving has been the clear focal point of the Brooklyn Nets offense, as he boasts a 35.8% usage rating in 2019. He is averaging 35.3 points per game, although he has been an efficient scorer. Irving is shooting 47.5% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc. He has recorded 5+ three-pointers made in half of his games this season, adding to his upside in this play. If Irving and Harden combine for 8 three-pointers made, which may be a bit low, the added bonus drops this total to only 57 points. This duo is averaging 72.1 points per game, and this will be each players best matchup of the season. This total is entirely too low.
