Brandon Ingram has been enjoying an outstanding season, but that hasn’t been the case since the debut of Zion Williamson. Ingram has scored fewer than 22 points in each of his 3 games with Williamson. Most importantly, he has taken only 24 shot attempts, 10 three-point attempts, and 10 free throw attempts in his last 2 games. In those contests, Ingram scored 16 and 13 points. He gets an elite matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers, who have struggled defensively this season. While Ingram’s efficiency could increase tonight, his lack of aggression in recent games is too concerning to play anything besides the under.
Collin Sexton has caught fire recently. He’s averaging 23.5 points on 18.5 shot attempts, 4.7 three-point attempts, and 3.5 free throw attempts per game over the last 10 days. He has scored 21+ points in 6 of his last 9 games. Sexton is locked into minutes in the mid- to high-30s tonight. He gets a great matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans, who rank sixth in the NBA in pace and 25th in defensive rating. Sexton should find plenty of easy shot attempts in this game, while potentially seeing 20+ shot attempts once again. He’s a focal point of the Cleveland offense, and makes a great option in this matchup.
