More or Less 2/2 – Golden State Warriors/Portland Blazers
Damian Lillard has cooled off a bit recently. He’s only averaging 28.2 points in 35.4 minutes per game over the last 10 days. With that being said, he has scored 34 points in each of his last 2 games. Most importantly, Lillard will be playing at home tonight. He’s averaging 29.6 points on 19.0 shot attempts, 10.4 three-point attempts, and 8.3 free throw attempts per game through 19 home contests. That’s up from the 25.0 points per game he averages on the road. Lillard also gets an elite matchup against the Golden State Warriors, who have struggled defensively. Through two matchups in 2019, he’s averaging 35.0 points in 37.2 minutes per game against Golden State. He will continue to find success in another great matchup tonight.
D’Angelo Russell is the focal point of the Golden State offense. In four games since returning from injury, he has scored 24+ points in 2 of his 4 games. Overall, Russell has scored 24+ points in 7 of his last 10 games. He gets a plus matchup against the Portland Blazers, who rank only 19th in the NBA in defensive rating. In their only matchup, Russell posted 26 points. He also shot only 39.1% from the field in that game, although he did shoot 41.7% from beyond the arc in that game. Russell is expected to see 20+ shot attempts once again tonight, including 10+ three-point attempts. This total is far too low for how well Russell can score when he’s leading the offense.
Play 1 unit on Damian Lillard OVER 30.5 points and D’Angelo Russell OVER 23.5 points to win 3 units (3x)
