Happy Saturday Karma Nation! Hopefully you used the Playbook last night! I saw screenshots galore on my twitter feed – I love seeing that. Tonight’s slate is just as juicy! We have some major injury situation to go over; I’ll post my thoughts on those below and you will find the playbook towards the bottom. Let’s dive in!
*Main Situations I’m monitoring*
Kings AT Pacers -3.5, 222
Domantas Sabonis is QUESTIONABLE. Victor Oladipo is OUT. Iman Shumpert OUT.
*If Sabonis is ruled out-> Myles Turner (again) becomes an elite play. He ran into foul trouble and they really didn’t need him late in the game yesterday as they were on the front end of a b2b. Kyle O’Quinn, who I mentioned in a tweet yesterday, also becomes viable as a GPP punt value. Thaddeus Young becomes a solid to elite “safe” value play. Bojan Bogdanovic also gets a slight bump. This is a MASSIVE pace up spot for Indiana. We could see four or five players hit value.
*If Sabonis plays-> Kyle O’Quinn would be removed from my player pool. Myles Turner turns into an elite GPP play as he would see lower ownership. I still think the other starters I mentioned are elite plays. Sabonis would also become GPP viable, especially if he is expected to take on his usual workload.
Wizards AT Cavaliers +6.5, 218
Jeff Green & John Wall just upgraded to Probable. David Nwaba, Rodney Hood Questionable.
On the Wizards side, this game would have become very interesting if Wall sits. Looks like he is playing, which downgrades the Wizards players for me. I’m also a bit worried about the overall pace in this game. If Nwaba and Rodney Hood both sit, the Cav’s would have around 6 “relevant” players for this game. Cavs are also the ones getting a huge pace up bump. Collin Sexton, Alec Burks, Jordan Clarkson, Tristan Thompson would all be on my radar.
Nuggets AT Hawks +6, 224.5
Will Barton, Gary Harris & Paul Millsap OUT. Miles Plumlee, Alex Poythress, Jeremy Lin, and Omari Spellman are OUT.
If you haven’t heard, in this scenario, Jokic owns an insane USAGE and Fantasy Point per Minute rate. He is my lock button play of the night. The entire Denver team is potentially in play. Nikola Jokic, Trey Lyles, and Juan Hernangomez are my three favorite plays. The Hawks will most likely put Kent Bazemore on Jamal Murray. Murray is fine and he will surely be popular tonight. Pivoting off him is probably where I will get some leverage.
Heat AT Clippers -9, 219.5
Waiters, Ellington, Dragic OUT. Whiteside Doubtful.
My interest, again, is in the Heat side with how limited they will be tonight. Bam Adebayo is an ELITE play if Whiteside is out. Justise Winslow is an elite value play. Primary targets; Bam, Winslow, McGruder (GPP), Richardson, Wade, and Kelly O.
