Welcome to another MLB DFS Game Theory for the 2021 season! This year we have a good amount of overlap between the NBA & MLB season, so there is lots of money to be made. This article will highlight my top plays at each position, and in the analysis portion of the article, we will highlight my top pitchers and stacks for the day.
Tough slate with some pretty clear chalk at pitcher (on DK) in Gerrit Cole + Austin Gomber. I do think that Cole will be negatively affected by the crackdown on foreign substances, but there’s just nowhere to pivot on this slate. Since I will be playing chalk at pitcher, we can look for leverage in our bats.
One spot I particularly like is the Jared Walsh/Shohei Ohtani mini stack. Tons of eyes will be on the Mets vs Matt Harvey and some of the other big name teams with huge team totals. Brad Keller’s pitch mix is pretty evenly spread between fastball/sinker/slider to left-handed batters. These are pitches that both Walsh and Ohtani crush. I also love the Reds. and the Orioles for a lower owned stack.
