Welcome to another MLB DFS Game Theory for the 2021 season! This year we have a good amount of overlap between the NBA & MLB season, so there is lots of money to be made. This article will highlight my top plays at each position, and in the analysis portion of the article, we will highlight my top pitchers and stacks for the day.

Top Pitchers:

Pitching options are decent tonight, there are two aces and a ton of mid-level pitchers that are interesting for tournaments. It is a little bit of a smaller slate, so getting different is key tonight. Everyone will try to get a piece of the Brewers tonight, especially on FanDuel where they are underpriced as if they aren’t in Coors. I will be fading the Rockies vs Woodruff and would actually consider using Woodruff in cash games due to the lack of safe pitching options. On FanDuel, Ohtani is very overpriced at 11k but he has the best matchup on the board, vs the Tigers. I like Joe Musgrove, Charlie Morton, and Dylan Cease in tournaments. These 3 guys could also match the aces in Ohtani and Woodruff and the salary difference is drastic. For me, I don’t need all that salary, I can fit in Woodruff with 3 Brewers, Yelich, Avisail Garcia and Luis Urias and still comfortably make a solid lineup without too many punts. I’ll be likely locking in one of the aces and stacking the Brewers in cash.

In terms of bats, of course it’s nice to get Brewers in where we can, but I also like the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Angels, and my favorite mini stack, the Atlanta Braves. From the Braves, I would love to get Freeman/Albies/Acuna/Riley but this would require a mid-tier pitcher, so definitely a good tournament option.

Good luck everyone!
