MLB DFS 9/18/22 – Spike’s Building Blocks | DraftKings & FanDuel Picks

Welcome to our MLB DFS Building Blocks, DraftKings and FanDuel picks for 9/18/22! In this article, I’ll break down by top overall plays for today’s main slate. We have already found a lot of success to start the year off and there is plenty more to come! A big KARMA takedown is imminent and only a matter of time. I will be providing Core Plays for every main slate (and day baseball) this season — you can gain access to that as well as our premium discord here.

Pitcher

Jacob deGrom is the clear cut option for our SP1 today. With a fantastic matchup against the Pirates, it’s very easy to understand why. Jacob holds a 32% strikeout rate against their current roster and the entire team also strikeouts over 20% individually. The Pirates don’t make a lot of hard contact which makes deGrom locked and loaded today! Spencer Strider is the other guy in a fantastic spot. Strider actualy has a near 54% strikeout rate against the Phillies. That’s a video game like stat! It is the Phillies though, who have a bunch of guys who are very good at hitting the ball at the same time. For this reason he is not the top option (along with deGOAT).

Batters

Vlad Guerrero Jr makes for a solid option today against Dean Kremer and Baltimore. Vlad’s hard contact is over 50% and he doesn’t strikeout a ton either. Kremer also throws a fstball over 35% of the time which is one of Guerrero’s favorite pitches to hit. As a whole, Toronto is in an elite spot! Vlad specifically should have a big day and is a must for me. Xander Bogaerts is another guy in a really good spot today. Kris Bubic is on the mound for Kansas City and is giving up hard contact nearly half the time! Boston should feast on him at home in a very hitting friendly ballpark. Once again, the fastball is Bubic’s forte as he throws it 51% of the time. Using both these guys and finding a stack around them could be pivotal to a takedown here today!

BOLD CALL

STRIDER STRIKES OUT 12 BATTERS!
