MLB DFS 8/6/22 – OwnersBox Best Buys

We are beyond thrilled to “officially” announce our newest partners at OwnersBox. While being well known for their WFS (Weekly Fantasy Sports) product, they have recently launched their first ever DFS platform and have been using none other than Karma Nation to test it! You’re probably asking yourself right now, what is OwnersBox and how are they different?

What is OwnersBox? How are they different?

OwnersBox is the newest DFS lineup platform giving you more lineup flexibility than ANYONE else by creating a “SuperFlex“. For MLB, this roster spot allows you to lock in ANY infielder, ANY outfielder, and ANY starting pitcher! You are also not forced to play any specific position as their MLB lineup is simply 4 infielders, 3 outfielders, 1 starting pitcher, and the 1 SuperFlex spot!

Sounds interesting, how do I sign up?!

Glad you asked! You want to CLICK HERE to download their app on whatever mobile device you own. By doing that and using promo code KARMA, you will automatically get a FREE $5 added to your account! Once you decide to deposit, they will add another FREE $25 to your account, no matter how much you deposit! Make sure you get in our free Discord chat room to join all our 24/7/365 OwnersBox lineup discussions as well!

Top Play – Brandon Drury

Drury made his mark hitting a grand slam in his first AB for the Padres, and has a great match-up on Saturday night against Andrew Heaney. Heaney has been better for the Dodgers than the Angels, but Drury has absolutely crushed left-handed pitching this season to the tune of a .347 ISO and a .394 wOBA. I expect San Diego to go over their team total tonight, and Drury is too cheap for his spot in the order.

Top Pitcher – Carlos Rodon

Rodon is a plug and play on Saturday night against the Oakland Athletics. Not only, is Oakland one of the worst offenses in baseball, Rodon has the highest strikeout rate on tonight’s slate at 32%. Oakland’s lineup carries a lowly .116 ISO and .291 wOBA vs right-handed pitching, and I don’t see how they will be able to string hits together against Rodon. He features a wipeout slider, a pitch that the A’s have just two players with a wOBA above .300 against. It’s one of the best spots this season for him, and he paces the field in projection by more than 5 points.

Top Super-Flex Play – Aaron Ashby

Ashby is a top play on Saturday, matched up against the Cincinnati Reds. He continues to have huge strikeout upside, but struggles with control similar to an early career Robbie Ray, just not as extreme with the homeruns. His 27% strikeout rate is one of the higher marks on this slate, and the Reds are one of the weaker offenses. Their projected offense tonight owns a sub-.280 wOBA against left-handed pitching and they only walk 7% of the time which is a huge bonus. He should be closer to $10K due to his ceiling and I think he is a fantastic play in all formats.
