We are beyond thrilled to “officially” announce our newest partners at OwnersBox. While being well known for their WFS (Weekly Fantasy Sports) product, they have recently launched their first ever DFS platform and have been using none other than Karma Nation to test it! You’re probably asking yourself right now, what is OwnersBox and how are they different?
What is OwnersBox? How are they different?
OwnersBox is the newest DFS lineup platform giving you more lineup flexibility than ANYONE else by creating a “SuperFlex“. For MLB, this roster spot allows you to lock in ANY infielder, ANY outfielder, and ANY starting pitcher! You are also not forced to play any specific position as their MLB lineup is simply 4 infielders, 3 outfielders, 1 starting pitcher, and the 1 SuperFlex spot!
Sounds interesting, how do I sign up?!
Glad you asked! You want to CLICK HERE to download their app on whatever mobile device you own. By doing that and using promo code KARMA, you will automatically get a FREE $5 added to your account! Once you decide to deposit, they will add another FREE $25 to your account, no matter how much you deposit! Top Play – Daulton Varsho
Arizona has one of the bigger team totals today sitting at just over 4.5 runs against German Marquez. Marquez was once considered an out-of-Coors Ace for the Rockies, but he continues to have a rough 2022 season. His ERA is just south of 6.00, while his expected ERA isn’t much better at a 5.00 mark. He’s struggling against both sides of the plate, and is allowing a .356 wOBA to left-handed hitters. Varsho continues to be one of the best lefties in the D-Backs lineup, sporting a .227 ISO and 41% hard-hit rate. He also has some of the best numbers on the team vs fastballs, which is important because Marquez throws his heater almost 40% of the time. This game is one of the best spots for offense today, and Varsho is too cheap.
Top Pitcher – Julio Urias
Urias checks in as the top overall SP option on Sunday, against the Chicago Cubs. Chicago has struggled with left-handed pitching this season — as we saw last night with Clayton Kershaw striking out 10 over seven and two thirds innings. Urias has never been a huge strikeout pitcher, but a 24% strikeout rate with double-digit swinging strikes will certainly play against this offense. It’s noteworthy that the Cubs own just a 3.3 run team total, with Urias installed as a massive -276 favorite.
Top Super-Flex Play – MacKenzie Gore
Given the value with some of the INF/OF plays, we should be able to comfortably fit in two pitchers on Sunday. Gore is the clear number two for me, up against the San Francisco Giants. We know that Gore has legitimate strikeout upside, but this Giants lineup is just not good right now. The Giants projected lineup today owns a combined .247 wOBA and .116 ISO against left-handed pitching. Vegas respects Gore, with the Padres moving to around -125 favorites in this game. I think this is a potential ceiling spot for Gore against this offense, and he is a fantastic play this afternoon.
