MLB DFS 6/10/22 – Ben’s Building Blocks | DraftKings & FanDuel Picks

Welcome to our MLB DFS Building Blocks, DraftKings and FanDuel picks for 6/10/22! In this article, I’ll break down by top overall plays for today’s main slate. Last year was an extremely big year for the Karma team in MLB, and we are looking to continue that success in 2022. I will be providing Core Plays for every main slate (and day baseball) this season — you can gain access to that as well as our premium discord here. Let’s get to the plays…

Above is an example of the Core Plays given out to Subscribers on Friday May 13th

Pitcher

Luis Severino

There are several strong pitching options on Friday night, but two stick out in price — Luis Severino and Joe Musgrove. Sevy has pretty much returned to pre-injury form striking out almost 28% of batters faced this season. Both of these pitchers have pretty similar match-ups, but I feel a bit better about the ceiling of Sevy with his strike out ability — Musgrove is much better in real-life than for DFS. We currently have Severino projected as the highest-owned arm tonight, and I think that is deserved. He has to be considered the cash game anchor for me, but you can pivot to higher upside arms like Aaron Ashby in GPPs.

Kyle Gibson

As I noted above, there’s tons of pitching options to sort through tonight, but Gibson sticks out above the field. For starters, he has a great match-up against the Arizona Diamondbacks who strike out almost 25% of the time vs right-handed pitching as a team. He also has been great at home this season, posting a 2.99 xFIP and 24% strikeout rate in Philly. Overall, he is priced at just $7,100 despite ranking inside the top-five raw points projections in our Projections Portal. He also is coming in at just 5% projected ownership, around 20% less than Spenser Strider who is the the same price. I like Gibson in all formats tonight, and will be taking a stand on him.

Building Blocks

George Springer

There are a few very good spots for offense on Friday night, but George Springer sticks out as my top play in all formats. Toronto matches up with Elvin Rodriguez who is coughing up a .409 wOBA to right-handed batters this season. Springer has some of the best numbers vs righties in this lineup including a team-high .223 ISO this season. He also crushes fastballs, a pitch that Rodriguez throws over 50% of the time.

Rowdy Tellez

Anyone that reads my content knows I love these slates where we get to play Rowdy Tellez, and tonight is a night to get rowdy. Milwaukee matches up with Erick Fedde, who we knows throws a lot of cutters to both sides of the plate. This season, it’s his most-used pitch to lefties throwing it over 40% of the time. Tellez owns the second-highest ISO on the team vs cutters over the last few seasons with a huge .316 mark. He’s one of the top value plays on Friday night.

Bold Call

Kyle Gibson punches out 8+ Diamondbacks!
