MLB DFS 4/23/22 – Top Stacks For Draftkings/Fanduel

Welcome to our MLB DFS Top Stacks for 4/17/22! In this article, I’ll break down by top overall stacks for today’s main slate. We got a big 13 game slate today and there are a TON of great ways to go. It is a slate very little value in pitching so hitting the right stacks should be pivotal today. I will be providing Core Plays for every main slate this season — you can gain access to the Core Plays as well as our premium discord here. You can also try out the Core Plays package with a $5 day pass. Let’s get to the stacks…

Los Angeles Dodgers

I’m sure most of you are seeing this and saying “but they’re facing Darvish!” To be honest, it doesn’t really faze me. Darvish has weak spots and he won’t be pitching all night. As we saw last night, this bullpen is scary to watch as they just coulnd’t stop giving up hits and HR’s. More than half of these guys have started off on fire, even the “weaker” part of the offense like Lux and Rios. A full stack may be hard to get to as they are pretty expensive but it is possible. I don’t even mind a stack from the end of the lineup as it is somewhat more affordable and should get you a discount on ownership. Just to put this into perspective, Darvish has started out the year with a hart hit rate of 51.2 and and a FIP of 4.71 to go along with an ERA od 6.28. Now, positive regression is imminent but I don’t think it starts tonight when he is facing one of the hottest teams in the league.

Seattle Mariners

It is a littler early to look at ownership but something tells me they won’t be super high owned here. As I mentioned in building blocks, Ty France is looking like a mighty fine play and I love a stack to go along with him. Kris Bubic has a K % of 15.4 and a walk rate of 30.8%. Not to mention his hart hit rate is over 40% and Seattle has some solid power hitting that hasn’t really been unleashed yet. We have seen glimpses of it but it could really be showcased tonight. I really don’t see a part of this lineup that isn’t appealing but prefer the right handed hitters slightly.  Abraham Toro is projected to lead off and he is too cheap for what his upside can be.  These guys are also all relatively cheap as there is just three guys over 4k. I also believer there is some solid correlation in stacking a team where you’re using the pitcher as well because if they hit well, he is more likely to get the win and get you some extra FP’s.

Arizona Diamonbacks

Trevor Williams isn’t even who we are going to target here. He has a short leash and I don’t see him pitching too far into this game. Instead, we will target this bullpen which gave up their lead last night and were exposed. This team has been surprisingly good so far and are all pretty cheap.  More than half of their projected starting lineup has a hard hit rate over 40% and their exit velocity is early all over 90%. I prefer the lefties just in case Williams get shis leash extended such as Varsho, Marte, Peralta, Beer and Pavin. It just makes sense to stack them if we are going to go with two spend ups at pitcher tonight which also allows you to get some expensive one off’s if thats the route you want to go.

BONUS: The Angels are in a sneaky spot tonight. Baltimore’s pitching is not good and they shoud be able to expose them here tonight and a full stack with them should be low owned and has big upside!
