Welcome everyone to Rueb’s Hitter Breakdown! This season I will be going into detail about my favorite hitters on the main slate for each day. If you would like to pick up a Core plays subscription, you can do so here. Lets get into it!
Value:
Tommy Pham– Pham will continue to lead off for the Padres while they’re without Grisham. Pham has the protection of Tatis behind him. We need to find some value on a Coors slate if we want to jam in Dodgers stacks.
Jon Berti– Berti will hit leadoff for the Marlins. I like Berti as a player, and he allows you to pay down at second base. I really like the Dodgers OF so paying down at a less valuable position like second base makes a lot of sense.
Studs:
Cody Bellinger– Bellinger does not look impacted by his offseason shoulder surgery. Bellinger had a home run taken off of the board yesterday, but I am going right back to the well! Bellinger with a .287 ISO in Coors….Giddy up!!!!
Corey Seager– Seager has not skipped a beat after his historic World Series run. Seager is locked in at the plate right now and I don’t expect that to slow down today. I want exposure to the top of this Dodgers lineup today.
Stacks:
Dodgers: Betts-Seager-Turner-Bellinger
Angels: Trout-Rendon-Upton
Padres: Pham-Tatis-Machado
Bold Calls:
SB- Jon Berti
1% Owned HR- Mitch Moreland
4 Hit Game- Corey Seager
Double Dong- Cody Bellinger
