Welcome to our MLB DFS Optimizer Overview, FanDuel value picks for 4/19/20221! In this article, I’ll break down the top overall value plays for today’s main slate according to our Saber Sim Optimizer. Last year was an extremely big year for the Karma team in MLB, and we are looking to continue that success in 2022. I will be providing Core Plays for every main slate this season — you can gain access to that as well as our premium discord here. You can also try out the Core Plays package with a $5 daily pass. Let’s get to the plays!
PITCHER
Risky GPP value play, but if Archer is stretched out enough, he could get you the value you would need. And can pay up for bats. KC hasn’t been great since the start of the season. The K% is there. But it is risky, wind is blowing out and is a batter friendly stadium. But for his price it’s worth a shot.
Cole Irvin is another value pitcher I will take chance with in GPPS. Its Baltimore, 25% K rate vs lefties. It is a pitcher friendly park which helps Irvin.
CATCHER/FIRST BASE
Bobby Dalbec $2,600 FD
Boston in general is a team worth stacking tonight. Favorable matchup, wind blowing out. He has the home run upside. We’ve seen it last season. Kikuchi struggles vs righties. He should be one of the more lower owned Bos players tonight.
Rowdy Tellez $2,400 FD
Attacking Pirates pitchers, bullpen is always a great option. He hasn’t really been impressive or lights out. But if he can get some contact, he has the homerun upside. Hoping he finally gets a homerun tonight.
Zack Collins $2,100 FD
I like both sides of this TOR/BOS game. Both pitchers are hittable. Last 3 games vs OAK he crushed value. At $2100, he can easily hit value. Batting 5th is also a nice spot for his price. Should be very low owned since it is a Coors slate. Decent GPP option
Luke Voit $2,900 FD
Once again Padres get another nice matchup vs a lefty pitcher. He definitely has the hr upside, as well as getting on base and potentially driving in some runs. Cincy and their bullpen has been pretty bad and can easily be targeted.
SECOND BASE
Kolten Wong $2,500 FD
For his price and leading off, vs Pirates. He needs to get his swing going. But I like Brewers lefties again today. He has the stolen base upside as well.
Aledmys Diaz $2,100 FD
Love Houston tonight. Angels BP isn’t great. We have seen them give up a lot of contact and runs since the start of the season. He’s almost min price but has a ton of upside. HR potential as well.
Jonathan Villar $2,700 FD
He did real well in the Colorado series. I do like some Cubs players tonight. He’s been good vs righties this season so far. His EV speed is up. HR upside is there.
Luis Arraez $2,800 FD
I like the upside here. Hitters park and leading off. All the Twins are cheap tonight. With Buxton getting hurt. The other hitters need to step up. And tonight I have a feeling he will just do that. Wind blowing out and a hitters park.
THIRD BASE
Alec Bohm $3,100
Always a bonus trying to find value with a Coors slate. He has the homerun upside. Philly was not good last night. But tonight is a new night. Vs Freeland. Philly righties are def in play tonight.
Eugenio Suarez $3,000 FD
He is hitting the ball well. Sea also can be that sneaky team to put up some runs. He def has the homerun upside.
SHORTSTOP
Willy Adames $2,900 FD
Brubaker struggled more against lefties than righties. But Adames is a decent reverse splits batter. He does have a homerun off of Brubaker. He is bound to send one over the wall.
Jeremy Pena $2,800
Leading off. I like Houston tonight, As mentioned before. Attacking the Angels Bp. And Pena hasn’t been awful. I like his upside here.
Trevor Story $3,000 FD
Another Bos player I like tonight. Great matchup. Love the homerun upside here as well. Batting 2nd.
OUTFIELD
Max Kepler $2,900 FD
Like I mentioned out before. I do like the Twins tonight. He has the homerun upside.
Christian Yelich $2,900 FD
Was definitely nice to see him hit a grand slam last night. Reminded me of him 2 years ago. His price dropped $200 from last night to tonight. Great matchup. Hope he repeats it tonight. Not a grand slam but at least a homerun.
Randy Arozarena $2,800 FD
Love his upside here. Home run upside.
Charlie Blackmon $3,100 FD
One of the more lower owned Col bats. Hitting 2nd still. Home run upside is there.
OAK bats all pop near the top on the optimizer for value. Attacking Baltimore pitching lately has been streaky. But def worth another chance here tonight.
