Milwaukee Brewers
Wade Miley (-185)
Miley has looked outstanding in limited starts this season, recording a 4-2 record with a 2.23 ERA through 13 starts. He has allowed three or fewer earned runs in each of his last 10 starts, while allowing one or fewer earned runs in five of those games. Miley generally doesn’t pitch deep into games, but the Milwaukee Brewers own one of the better bullpens in the MLB. They also get a matchup against the Cincinnati Reds, who are 3-3, while averaging only 3.0 runs per game over the last week. Milwaukee has also been struggling a bit offensively recently, but they get an elite matchup against Anthony DeSclafani. He has struggled through 18 starts, recording a 7-5 record with a 4.80 ERA. DeSclafani has also allowed four or more earned runs in four of his last five starts.

Houston Astros
Framber Valdez (-180)
Valdez has thrown well this season, allowing one or fewer earned runs in four of his five starts this season. He generally throws around five innings, before allowing the Houston Astro’s number one ranked bullpen to take over. Valdez also gets a matchup against the Seattle Mariners, who have struggled to display power against left-handed pitching. The Astros are finally healthy, and they’re averaging 5.0 runs per game over the last week. They also feature one of the best offenses in the MLB against left-handed pitching. Houston also gets a matchup against Wade LeBlanc, who has allowed 16 runs in 17.1 innings against them this season. The odds are a bit too close for a healthy Houston offense that has been playing at a high level recently.

Washington Nationals/Miami Marlins
Erick Fedde (-160)
Trevor Richards (+135)
As you know by this point in the season, I love attacking Erick Fedde. The only issue is that I have no confidence in Trevor Richards to throw well tonight. Instead, I’ll simply attack the over in this game. Fedde is coming off of his best start of the season in Philadelphia, but he has allowed three or more earned runs in six of his seven starts that he threw five or more innings this season. Richards has also found very little success this season, recording a 3-9 record with a 4.85 ERA this season. He has cooled off over his last two starts, as well, allowing 12 runs in 6.1 innings. The only concern is that this game takes place in a pitcher friendly stadium in Miami, but I’ll continue to attack these two pitches rather than the offenses.
