New York Mets
Jacob deGrom (-170)
If you read my article last night, this is a similar situation. The New York Mets offense has been playing at an elite level, averaging 6.9 runs per game over the last week. They get a tough matchup against Madison Bumgarner, although he has struggled on the road this season. Through seven road starts, he owns a 1-3 record with a 4.70 ERA. He has also allowed three or more runs in three of his last five road starts. Jacob deGrom will be taking the mound for the Mets, and he has been arguably the best pitcher in the MLB this season. He owns an 8-7 record with a 1.71 ERA through 25 starts. He also owns a 1.60 ERA at home this season. Furthermore, he has thrown eight or more innings in five of his last eight starts.
Bet 2 units on New York Mets -1.5 RL to win 3 units (+150)
Tampa Bay Rays
Tyler Glasnow (-205)
Glasnow struggled in his last game, allowing four earned runs in 6.2 innings. He has allowed one or fewer earned runs in his previous three starts, though. Furthermore, Glasnow is throwing deeper into games with every start. He also gets an elite matchup against the Kansas City Royals, who feature one of the worst offenses in the MLB and own a 30.8% win rate on the road this season. The Tampa Bay Rays, on the other hand, have featured an elite team at home, where they own a 60.7% win rate. They have been struggling to score recently, but a matchup against Danny Duffy could help that. He’s coming off an injury, and he had allowed six or more earned runs in three of his last four healthy starts.
Bet 2 units on Tampa Bay -1.5 RL to win 2.4 units (+120)
Chicago Cubs
Cole Hamels (-220)
The Chicago Cubs offense has been struggling recently, but they get a great matchup against Anthony DeSclafani tonight. DeSclafani owns a 6-3 record with a 4.12 ERA through 13 starts. Chicago has also recently traded for Daniel Murphy to bolster their offense, meaning they should get more production in the near future. More importantly, Cole Hamels will be taking the mound for the Cubs. He has looked outstanding over his last four starts, allowing two earned runs over 25 innings. He has been playing at a high level since joining the Cubs, and that should continue tonight.
Bet 4 units on Chicago Cubs -1.5 RL to win 3.8 units (-105)
