Welcome everyone to our Lineup Optimizer strategy article for 5/24/22. This is a new article I will be doing daily that discusses the stacks and players the optimizer is popping for today’s slate. We are very blessed to have out optimizer powered by SaberSim — and you can get access by clicking HERE. Let’s get into it…
Overview
We have another huge slate on tap tonight and DK is continue to post these bigger prize pool, single-entry GPPs — so that’s what we will be building for tonight.
Top Stacks
Tons of games and ways to go again on Tuesday, I locked in Corbin Burnes and Sonny Gray at my SP slots — let’s find a stack!
Three teams stick out above the field — the Twins, Angels and Royals. I’m going to cross the Royals off, given that I think Zac Gallen is too good of a pitcher to attack with a full stack on a massive slate of games. I think the Twins are in a great spot, but could see them becoming kind of chalky as we approach lock. I am definitely interested in the Angels, whose run total is up over half a run since opening. Dane Dunning is certainly vulnerable to power, and the Angels have plenty of it in their lineup. He throws primarily sinkers to both sides of the plate, so we want to target the guys that hit that pitch well. All of Mike Trout, Jared Walsh, Brandon Marsh and Shohei Ohtani have monster splits vs sinkers — while Rendon has solid power marks vs the pitch as well.
Conclusion
I’m going to be full stacking the Angels tonight with an emphasis on the guys that hit sinkers well. If I need to switch up my SP’s to make it work, I will pair Sonny Gray with someone a bit cheaper than Corbin Burnes to allow me to comfortably fit in the full stack.
