Jonathan Villar has found plenty of success recently, posting a .349 average with a .605 slugging percentage and a 1.033 OPS over his last 10 games. He boasts five extra-base hits (three home runs), seven RBIs, and seven stolen bases over that span. He’s also averaging 15.7 fantasy points per game in those contests. Surprisingly, Villar only owns 33% hard hit and 35% fly ball rates with a 90 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. He gets a plus matchup against Masahiro Tanaka, who has struggled on the road this season. Villar brings 0.049 wOBA and 0.028 ISO differentials against right-handed into this game, as well. Six fantasy points is entirely too low for how well he has been playing.
Miguel Cabrera has found some success recently, posting a .268 average with a .463 slugging percentage and a .782 OPS over his last 10 games. He owns four extra-base hits (two home runs) and six RBI in those games. With that being said, he has scored more than six fantasy points in less than half of those games. He does own 46% hard hit and 36% fly ball rates to go along with a 93 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. Most importantly, Cabrera gets a tough matchup against Lucas Giolito, and he enters this game with -0.07 wOBA and -0.1 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching.
