Javier Baez has been playing well recently, posting a .316 average with a .632 slugging percentage and a .965 OPS over his last 10 games. He owns six extra-base hits (three home runs), nine RBIs, and one stolen base over that span, as well. With that being said, he has been a boom or bust option in those games. He has scored fewer than nine fantasy points in six of his last eight games. He has also struggled a bit with 32% hard hit and 46% ground ball rates to go along with a 91 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. Baez gets a matchup against Chris Archer, who has been throwing at a higher level recently, and has found some success at home this season. Baez also enters this game with -0.099 wOBA and -0.071 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching. While he comes with tremendous upside, it will be difficult for him to find success tonight.
Aaron Judge is another player that has been on fire, recording a .324 average with a .618 slugging percentage and a 1.070 OPS over his last 10 games. He boasts four extra-base hits (three home runs) and seven RBIs in those contests. Judge also owns 42% hard hit and 31% fly ball rates with a 94 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. He gets an elite matchup against Jason Vargas, who is due for regression. Judge enters this game with 0.213 wOBA and 0.193 ISO differentials against left-handed pitching, as well. He’s hitting second in the New York Yankees lineup, and he comes with tremendous potential in this matchup.
