This prop is relatively high, but Josh Donaldson is one of my favorite players on this slate. He has caught fire recently, posting a .313 average with a .781 slugging percentage and a 1.270 OPS over his last 10 games. He owns 5 home runs, 13 RBIs, and 1 stolen base in those games, as well. Donaldson boasts 60% hard hit and 48% fly ball rates with a 101 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days, as well. He has been slightly more powerful against left-handed pitching, bringing a 0.005 ISO differential against lefties into this game. Most importantly, he gets an elite matchup against Danny Duffy, who has struggled throughout the 2019 season. Donaldson is expected to hit fourth in the Atlanta Braves lineups, and he’ll continue to find success at home tonight.
Charlie Blackmon is an interesting option. He’s seen as an elite hitter, but that hasn’t been the case on the road. Through 44 road games this season, he’s hitting .237 with a .389 slugging percentage and a .657 OPS. He has posted 18 extra-base hits (5 home runs), 21 RBIs, and 2 stolen bases in those games. Blackmon has also been ice cold recently, posting a .209/.326/.553 line over his last 10 games. With that being said, he has recorded 46% hard hit and fly ball rates with a 96 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. He could be in for a breakout, but his road struggles cannot go overlooked. Blackmon gets a tough matchup against Stephen Strasburg. He has scored more than 7.0 fantasy points in only 3 of his last 10 games, and we can expect the under again tonight.
