Aaron Judge is one of my favorite players on this slate tonight. He has been on fire recently, posting a .324 average with a .568 slugging percentage and a .999 OPS over his last 10 games. He owns three home runs and five RBIs in those games, as well. Furthermore, Judge boasts 77% hard hit and 31% fly ball rates with a 99 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. Most importantly, he gets an elite matchup against Kyle Freeland, and Judge brings 0.11 wOBA and 0.126 ISO differentials against left-handed pitching into this game. He’s hitting second in an elite New York Yankees lineup, and Judge is as good of a play as there is on this slate.
Yoan Moncada has struggled a bit recently, as he’s hitting .289 with a .421 slugging percentage and a .821 OPS over his last 10 games. He has posted three extra-base hits (one home run) and three RBIs over that span. Still, he has scored less than 8 fantasy points in 7 of those 10 games. Moncada does own a 42% hard hit rate and a 95 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days, but he also possesses a 53% ground ball rate over that span. Moncada’s struggles against left-handed pitching have been well noted, and he brings -0.051 wOBA and -0.079 ISO differentials against lefties. He gets a tough matchup against Brendan McKay in a pitcher friendly stadium, and Moncada is likely to struggle once again tonight.
