This is a high total for any batter, but Andrew Benintendi has been playing at a high level recently. He has scored double-digit fantasy points in four of his last five games, and he’s averaging 13.8 fantasy points per game over that span. He has also posted 29% hard hit and 51% fly ball rates with a 91 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days, but those numbers obviously increase over his last five games. Most importantly, he gets a matchup against David Hess, who has allowed a ridiculous 54.2% fly ball rate to go along with a 15.4% HR/FB rate this season. Benintendi is a home run threat in Baltimore’s hitter friendly stadium, specifically in this matchup. He also owns 0.049 wOBA and 0.035 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching, and he’ll see added at-bats as the Boston Red Sox leadoff hitter.
Harper has been ice cold recently, but he has looked decent in terms of fantasy. He has scored 8+ fantasy points in five of his last nine games. Harper could also be in line for a breakout soon, as he owns 37% hard hit and 55% fly ball rates with a 91 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. He has also found plenty of success on the road this season, where he’s hitting .283 with a .491 slugging percentage and an .857 OPS. Harper is averaging 8.7 fantasy points per game through 13 road contests, as well. He gets a plus matchup against Dakota Hudson, and enters this game with a .284/.537/.937 career line against right-handed pitching. Harper certainly is a risky option, but this total is a bit low for his upside in a plus matchup.
