It’s early in the day, so there aren’t many props for the 7 PM slate, but I found two players I like. Bryce Harper has looked outstanding this season, hitting .345 with a .759 slugging percentage and a 1.284 OPS through nine games. He has also been a slightly more consistent and more powerful option against right-handed pitching, while his opponent, Stephen Strasburg, has struggled more against left-handed batters. Harper will gain the advantage of playing in one of the more hitter friendly stadiums in the MLB, as well. This total is simply too low for a power hitter in that stadium, who is facing his old team, and comes with steal potential. Harper has too many factors working in his favor to attack the under.
Juan Soto is hitting fourth in the Washington Nationals lineup, but he has been ice cold recently. Over the last 15 days, he owns 33% hard-hit and 55% ground ball rates with an 87 MPH exit velocity. Soto has been a better option against right-handed pitching, but he gets a terrible matchup against Aaron Nola tonight. Last season, Nola held left-handed batters to a .186 average with a .296 slugging percentage and a .251 wOBA. Furthermore, if you take away Soto’s two elite fantasy games, he’s averaging only 4.1 fantasy points per game this season. I expect him to struggle once again against one of the best pitchers in the NL East.
