Juan Soto has been playing at a high level over his last 10 games. He’s only hitting .256 over that span, but he also owns a .513 slugging percentage and an .882 OPS. In those contests, Soto has posted 4 extra-base hits (3 home runs), 10 RBIs, and 2 steals. He’s a versatile player, who can score fantasy points in multiple ways, making him as dangerous as anyone. Throughout his young career, Soto owns a .291 average with a .514 slugging percentage and a .932 OPS against right-handed pitching. He gets a plus matchup against Michael Wacha tonight, who is coming off of a minor injury. As if that wasn’t enough, Soto is hitting nearly .300 at home this season, and he’s expected to hit fourth in the Washington Nationals lineup. This is a great combination of situation and versatility to find the over.
Brandon Lowe is another player, who has recently caught fire. He’s hitting for a .297 average with a .568 slugging percentage and a .933 OPS over his last 10 games. He owns five extra-base hits (two home runs), eight RBIs, and one steal over that span. Lowe is also averaging a cool 9.7 fantasy points per game in those contests. He also owns 45% hard-hit and 40% fly ball rates with a 94 mph exit velocity over the last 15 days. As if that isn’t enough, Lowe gets a plus matchup against Brad Keller, who recently struggled against the Tampa Bay Rays. The only major concern here is that they’re playing in the Kansas City Royals stadium, where Keller has been a better pitcher. Lowe is expected to lead off in this game, though, and he’ll see extra opportunities at the plate, making him a play for the over.
