I’m taking a shot on two of the hottest hitters in the MLB. Christian Yelich is hitting .333 with a 1.000 slugging percentage and a 1.442 OPS over his last 10 games. Over that span, he owns eight home runs, 16 RBIs, and one steal, while averaging a ridiculous 16.7 fantasy points per game. He has also scored double-digit fantasy points in five of his last seven games. Yelich owns 62% hard-hit and 48% fly ball rates with a 99 mph exit velocity over the last 15 days, as well. He gets a plus matchup against Jack Flaherty, and he enters this game with 0.027 wOBA and 0.031 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching. He’s an elite option on this slate, and eight fantasy points is a bit low for his recent production.
While eight fantasy points certainly is high, it’s also a bit low for a player like Tim Anderson. He doesn’t own elite numbers, as his hard-hit rate sits at only 16% of the last 15 days, but he has still been producing at an elite level. Over his last 10 games, Anderson is hitting .342 with a .526 slugging percentage and a .901 OPS. Over that span, he owns three extra-base hits (two home runs), eight RBIs, and seven steals. He has a green light whenever he’s on base, and that’s what makes him an elite fantasy option. He’s averaging 13.1 fantasy points per game on the season, and his speed makes him a solid option for the over.
Play $25 on Christian Yelich OVER 8 fantasy points and Tim Anderson OVER 8 fantasy points to win $62.50 (2.5x)
