Anthony Rendon has been one of the hottest hitters in the MLB through 14 games. He’s hitting for a .400 average with an .873 slugging percentage and a 1.333 OPS. Those numbers have also increased over his last 10 games, as he owns 12 extra-base hits (5 home runs) and 13 RBI over that span. Rendon possesses 53% hard-hit and 56% fly ball rates with a 97 mph exit velocity over the last 15 days, as well. He has been a better hitter against left-handed pitching, but the matchup against Dereck Rodriguez is far from worrisome. Furthermore, Rendon has been a more consistent and a more powerful option at home. He’s hitting third in the Washington Nationals lineup, and Rendon continues to make an elite option in the MLB during this hot streak.
Christian Yelich is in an elite spot tonight. He’s hitting .464 with a 1.393 slugging percentage and a 1.972 OPS through eight home games. He owns 10 extra-base hits (8 home runs) and 20 RBI in those games, as well. Furthermore, Yelich owns seven home runs in only five games against the St. Louis Cardinals this season. Over the last 15 days, he possesses 54% hard-hit and 31% fly ball rates with a 95 mph exit velocity. He gets somewhat of a tough matchup against Jack Flaherty, but Yelich enters this game with 0.039 wOBA and 0.042 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching. He’s hitting second in the Milwaukee Brewers lineup, and Yelich has flashed elite upside this season.
