I went with the over on Bryce Harper yesterday, and I’m going back to the well tonight. He has caught fire early this season, hitting .333 with a .788 slugging percentage and a 1.299 OPS through 10 games. He gets an elite matchup against Jeremy Hellickson, and Harper owns 0.01 wOBA and 0.033 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching. Harper is hitting third in a stacked Philadelphia Phillies offense, and he’ll see opportunities for both runs and RBIs tonight.
Anthony Rendon has been his best against left-handed pitching, but that may not matter tonight. He’s been one of the best hitters in the MLB early this season, posting a .421 average with a .895 slugging percentage and a 1.384 OPS through 10 games. He has scored fantasy points in nine consecutive games, while also posting double-digit fantasy points in seven of those games. He has also posted 41% hard-hit and 48% fly ball rates with a 94 mph exit velocity over that span. Rendon gets somewhat of a tough matchup against Nick Pivetta, but he’s been playing well enough to project the over on this prop.
